To Pill or not to Pilll

Using the Pill (oral contraceptives) can have good effect on our body. Yes, most of us think that contraceptives are a means to prevent pregnancy. Okay, it does prevent prevent pregnancy but do you know that it can help improve or prevent several health conditions? The non contraceptive benefits (and favorable side effect profiles) of oral contraceptive pills are so important that some people use the pills exclusively for those reasons. Health issues like Excessive androgens, Benign Breast Cysts, Dysmenorrhea, Ectopic Pregnancy, Endometriosis, Functional Ovarian Cysts, Hirsutism, Metrorrhagia, Mittelschmerz, Ovarian and Endometrial Cancer, Premenstrual Syndrome, Uterine Fibroid Tumors. Top it up with the fact that you will have better skin and have a slimmer body.
However, it also has its bad side effects. Some of the side effects associated with the Pill are Blurred vision, severe headache, uncommon leg or thigh pain, severe chest pain or coughing , abdominal pain. Also, recent studies shows that women who take pills have lower bone density than those who didn't; thus increasing that risk of bone fractures, and later in life, osteoporosis.
Thus, knowing that pills are not only for contraceptive benefit, we ask the question, TO PILL OR NOT TO PILL?
